Several members of Company G, 25th Indiana Infantry Regt., sign a document, pledging various amounts of their pay to a comrade, Cpl. Cornelius Hunter, who had lost a leg in combat on 10 Aug. 1864, during the Atlanta campaign. The pledges, to be used to purchase an artificial cork leg, ranged from 50 cents to $7.00.
